Why GlobeMed

Health inequities are growing: Inequalities in social, political, and economic structures contribute to poor health, propagating the cycle of poverty.

Students can be a significant agent for change: As passionate global citizens, we desire to volunteer our time and energy to changing this situation by working with assets such as our peers, professors, and networks throughout our campuses and communities.

Many communities can benefit greatly: We believe in empowering local resources and forming partnerships with existing organizations. Led by intrepid doctors, community members, and health workers, they confront the challenges of poverty on a daily basis with courage and strength. By supporting the efforts of these community-based groups, we can effectively improve the lives of many.
